PerceptIS to Support OLP's Course Management System

PerceptIS, LLC has been awarded the contract to provide Open Learning Partnership Ohio (OLP) with around the clock end-user support for their open-source course management system, Sakai. OLP is a joint project of the eTech Ohio Commission and the Ohio Learning Network and will initially involve (6) K-12 schools and (2) community colleges in Ohio.

PerceptIS will leverage its IP based 24x7x365 call center to provide much of the support for OLP’s implementation of Sakai. Additionally, faculty, staff and students will have access to SmartiPantz ©, PerceptIS’s online self-help tool. SmartiPantz© is distinctive in that it combines aspects of social-networking and multimedia to shape and deliver the knowledgebase content.

”OLP is focused on exploring innovative technology solutions for Ohio's PK-20 educational community” stated Jillian Froment, Executive Director for eTech Ohio. “We are fortunate to be able to work with PerceptIS, an Ohio based service provider, to support this project.”

“The collaborative nature of the OLP will benefit Ohio school children, teachers, and faculty and students in the higher education community, “ said Kate M Carey, executive director of the Ohio Learning Network. “It makes sense to build collaborations with PerceptIS, an Ohio company. Ohio will jump forward in education with these innovative collaborative projects.”

“We are excited to be working with the Open Learning Partnership Ohio. OLP is exactly in our sweet-spot: Ohio based, education focused and service oriented. Ohio because it’s our heritage - we were founded in Cleveland and are headquartered right down town. Education focused because that’s our market. Whether it’s here at Case Western Reserve or across the country at Arizona State University, we are focused on education. And service oriented because that’s our culture. Our tools, people and systems are all best of class and geared at providing a great customer experience. We are thrilled to be a part of the team.” states Bill Bradfield, PerceptIS founder and CEO.
